The story is told of a man whose son had a dumb spirit. The disciples tried to cast it out, but were unsuccessful. He went to Jesus for help, but Jesus replied, “If thou canst believe, all things are possible.” The father, not sure of his faith said, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” What is the purpose of Faith? How does Faith lead to salvation? And how do we acquire it?

“Now faith is the ___________ of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1).

7.  What is faith connected to?

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that ________ the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus” (Rev. 14:12). “Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we _________ the law” (Rom 3:31).

8.  What is the result of having saving faith?

“For ye are all the ________ of God by faith in Christ Jesus” (Gal 3:26). “For this is the love of God, that we _______ his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God ___________ the _______: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (1 John 5:4).“Therefore being _________ by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom 5:1). “For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of ____________ by ______” (Gal. 5:5).
